Everquest Guide

Everquest WIKI

Ever Quest is a strategy based game having roleplay, hence categorized as a strategic, role-playing game featuring a fictional as well as a delusional world having a 3d theme. It was developed in collaboration with 989 studios and Verant Interactive for Windows. However, it had two separate releases in two different continents i.e first release was made in North America in March 1999 by Sony Online Entertainment and also making their second release in Europe in April 2000 by Ubisoft. However, in mac os, a release was also made which was shut down after 10 yrs in 2013. However, after being released, the game rose to popularity for many years. However many games similar to EverQuest have since been made but until today Everquest is still released regularly having a great number of monthly users.

However, after a couple of updates, Verant Interactive was taken over by Sony Online Entertainment, taking all of the copyright content into their own hands and all the release dated as well as publishing duties. However, during the peak time of EverQuest it has received a lot of numerous awards, most important of which include GameSpot Game of the Year in 1999 and also the Technology and Emmy Award in 2007 making it the successful release of the era. Its platforms include Microsoft Windows and Mac OS.

Everquest GamePlay

Talking about the original concepts these included dragons, witches, dungeons and many more creatures like these which feature common gameplay like many other games having the same creatures and also having the same fantasy as well as themes are also the same. However when players on PVP servers of ever quest began to increase then the mythical story featuring dungeons and other mythical creatures began to become popular as making it the best online role-playing multiplayer game.

Everquest GamePlay

However, the story, first of all, features the creation of Norrath which was first of all founded by Norrath(a crystalline dragon). She found this world peaceful as well as a beautiful place to live in. However after some time, the other gods notice the discovery of Norrath and also became jealous of Norrath, hence Brell Serillis secretly created a magic portal so that other gods, as well as him, could easily teleport between the parallel universes. However, the other gods joined hands with Brell Serillis to decide the fate of the world. On Norrath, Tunare created Elves and giants were created by Rallos Zek who would serve toward the defense of the land. Brell, however, returned to create Gnomes which resembled Dwarves one way or the other like they had many common features like physical resemblance to some extent, consumed with tinkering with devices more than their cousins.

Whilst during the age of blood The other civilizations of Norrath had either declined or were just being endangered, the small amount of Barbarians saw an opportunity to attack those small minorities where others who tried such attempts had just been defeated. However, they won and died more quickly rather than their growth. The leftovers were the empire of Elves which were on their way to decline. The Elddar forest and the Elvan quarter had spread to the south-east of Tunaria. Marble cities and three communities were yet built in the forest meadows having the tallest towers which ranged outside the forest. Slowly the desert took the area of the forest and the fair Elven city of “Takish-Hiz” crumbled and the Elves were forced to flee Tunaria, leaving much of their great works and traditions behind. On the west There existed Qyenos, a city founded by Antonious Bayle the first.

Everquest Review

According to most of the advanced gamers, Ever quest is said to be the best game of the era, who continued its the time at its peak for about 10-12 years continuing to be within the top 5 all through as the best online role-playing multiplayer game. It is an MMO with a lot of content and is also free to play. It is quite amazing at how playable this game is since it’s the original release. The new servers keep the game fresh and enjoyable. According to the facts, it was first of all released in 1999 and up till now it is 20 years old, hence people are still playing Ever Quest and they enjoy the gameplay reminding them of their old days and their middle school.  With such a nostalgic feeling, and trying to recapture the glory days in “progression servers”, it sometimes feels like Daybreak and the fans are on a never-ending corpse trying to retrieve the body of MMOs past.

Everquest Guide – Complete Guide For Best GamePlay

Generally, the guide of EverQuest provides information about the level of detail for EverQuest gameplay also the information about the number of characters featured in the gameplay and most important of all it also provides tips regarding different levels and battles during the game for example like boss battles. It also provides information about the main collectibles and rare items collected after chest unlocking and where to find those specific items during different stages.

Everquest Levelling Guide

First of all the best way to level up the fastest is by searching and then reaching for the Hotzones. However, talking about the hotzones they provide us with a little bonus to experience other than the adventure and exploring the particular area. Special items are also available in this zone which is also epic and rare i.e they’re hard to find. However, there are many hotzones in the gameplay making it 15 in number each after an interval of 5 levels and commencing from level 20.

These features

  • Crescent reach, the checkpoint featured in level 20
  • Blightfire moors which are featured in level 25
  • Great Divide which is particularly featured in level 30
  • Stone Hive in level 35
  • Dranik’s Scar which is particularly in level 40
  • Goru’kar Mesa in level 45
  • Plane of Disease, particularly in level 50
  • Blackfeather Roost in level 55
  • Sunderock Springs in level 60
  • The Steppes in level 65
  • Vergalid Mines in level 70
  • Direwind Cliffs in level 75
  • Ashengate, Reliquary of the Scale in level 80
  • Korascian Warrens in level 85
  • Level 85: Feerrott, the Dream in level 85

Talking about Veteran Rewards, these are skills players gain when their accounts have been active for a long enough period. The one year Veteran Reward the best all through the gameplay which doubles your XP every 24 hours by an interval of 30 minutes. XP potions are also available via Legends of Norrath card game which is available accessible through Everquest. The potions come in most of the sets but not in all of them depending on your luck simply as well as strategy. Everquest will also have special events like anniversaries, Christmas events, etc, sometimes these events will feature bonus XP for all players whilst a few days. Bonus XP weekends usually give double XP and comes along every couple of months

At level 51, players start to gain (Alternate Advancement Points) AA’s, so you can drag the AA slider to 100% and grind out some AAs. If you get to level 70+ with few AA’s you’ll have a hard time leveling. At level 70, head over to the Bazaar to pick up some equipment upgrades, you can find some cheap upgrades that will make leveling a lot faster and thus making the gameplay a lot more advanced.

Everquest Tailoring Guide

First of all, tailoring is basically a skill that is used for crafting weapons and armor, it is easier whilst starting but hard enough to be mastered. In short, it is a greater skill to level up. It basically helps you craft non-metal armor for yourself.

To get started, you need to know about small, medium and large sewing kit. On higher levels Coldain tanners kit and Velious kit are necessary. During the most gameplay, skin and pelts are the necessary terms as they are interchangeable i.e if you have a skin but there is a recipe for a pelt it should therefore work. Items for Velious recipes i.e during Velious quests are necessary and can be found all through Velious zones.

The Coldain Shawl requires you to level tailoring to 162 and preferably to 208 so all needed combines will be trivial. Most people level to 162 versus 208 and hope their 208 combine doesn’t fail. If it does fail, those ingredients are not that hard to re-acquire, which is why people are willing to take the risk.

Everquest Brewing Guide

First of all, brewing is an easy trade skill to learn, as compared to other skills it is comparatively easy. However, skilled brewe can make both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.  From 200 to 300, you can purchase all the ingredients to make Clear Absinthe in POK (fennel, anise, grande wormwood – from the Barbarian traders O’Danos + bottle & water flask right opposite the brew barrel) then go to OceanGreen Hills invites and gather Corn Rose down near OceanGreen Village zone line – ground spawn, stacks 20.

Brew Rose Absinthe by combining Corn Rose w/ Clear Absinthe (trivial 300). Very cheap, very effective. Oh, and don’t drink Rose Absinthe – Less than 800 alcohol tolerance it’s an instant drunk and takes a long while to sober up. On the plus side, your mana comes back at 20 per tick, but you’re not going to be able to cast squat with all the lurching around.

Everquest Baking Guide

First of all, beginners should know that while starting to learn baking, first of all, spend 21points on your trainer to get the first 21 points on trade skills. In addition to being an easy skill, it is also the most rewarding skill as compared to other skills.

However during the gameplay players have two options, either purchase food from the merchants or just use the baking sill to cook meals for yourself depending on your convenience. First of all, while your initiation to this new skill baking, first of all, visit your trainer from level 1 up till level 21. However, this skill requires various items like ovens, splits and mixing bowls, muffin tins, cookie cutters, pie tins, cake rounds, skewers, pots as well as smokers that can be made with pottery or blacksmithing.

However, there are four basic sources to collect specific ingredients. These sources include fishing, merchants, looting as well as foraging spawns. Therefore to obtain meat as well as eggs you can find the relevant animals or people where you find the right supply. Foraging gets the baker ingredients for a salad or collectively a stew. You need about 10pp and an hour of your time to get to skill 135.

Everquest Fletching Guide

Fletching is a popular skill among pullers as well as Rangers since they demand higher supply of arrows. Hence fletching contributes to the manufacturing of bows and arrows. However, to make use of this skill, everything you need is available via a merchant. However, some of the different combinations can also lead to identical results. You can also increase your skill level and price for better accuracy as well as damage depending on the particular needs of the user. However, mastering the skill can be advantageous as it would cut off your need to buy arrows from the merchants resulting in arrows crafted as a result of your skill of fletching.

However, to craft arrows, you need all these four components as heads, shaft, fletch, and nock. Therefore you can create 5 arrows per combine termed as the basic arrows except for magic arrows which are silver-tipped and can be created x10 per combine.

To create bows, these consist of a bow staff and string with optional cams and tools if the base wood allows. Just like arrows these final statistics are also dependent on each component as the arrows.

Everquest Blacksmithing Guide

Blacksmithing, first of all, is an ancient craft. Through its teachings, players learn to forge the primal elements of the land into useful tools, as well as arms and armor. Those highly skilled in the trade are even known to be able to create magical items. However, after learning this skill, it decreases the need for visiting merchants to buy weapons as well as armor. To forge an item, you must collect all the components required, and then place them within a forge. Once this is completed, you simply combine them you will either create the item or fail. It is important to note that items must not be stacked while being combined.

However, to learn this skill, you have two options

  • Either visit the skill master to start learning the skill after spending 21 points
  • Else you can save your skill points to learn on your own and put your skill points to better use.

Everquest Smithing Guide

Smithing, first of all, is the most difficult tradeskill to learn and probably the most frustrating. It requires you to do dozens of combines for even a single skill up or to make a single item. At higher levels, Smithing though is with a high enough skill you can make pretty much every utensil for every other tradeskill.

With Smithing players will be able to make stuff like Steel Boning, used in Tailoring, a Frying Pan, for Baking, A Filleting Knife, for Baking and many other skills. As with every other tradeskill, visit your trainer to raise it the first 21 points, as it would be advantageous to raise it by 21 skill levels.

Everquest Tradeskill Guide

First of all, tradeskills are those skills learned to save the cost of the desired items by simply forging that item using that skill. Tradeskills can be entertaining in a way that quality time can be spent i.e by creating special items for personal use or sale, as well as foods and beverages also same is the case for weapon and armory. As the ability in a particular tradeskill develops, it can take a significant amount more time and resources to reach the next skill.

However general tradeskills include baking, brewing, fishing, fletching, jewelcraft, pottery, smithing, tailoring, etc and many more. All tradeskills use a container of some sort that can either be portable or fixed.

Everquest Paladin Guide

Paladins belong to a tanking class with additional holy spells and can benefit their groups in several ways from healing to tanking. All of the creatures featured in the gameplay are all able to choose the Paladin class. Paladins are a hybrid class. They are a combination of the tanking and combat abilities of Warriors and the healing and curing abilities of Clerics. This results in unique gameplay with several uses and abilities to suit all situations. Hence they require certain stats to be effective. These include stamina, strength, and wisdom. Paladins have a higher amount of health which allows them to tank better than most classes and are second best only to warriors. Their uniqueness lies in their line of group healing spells.

Everquest Shadowknight Guide

Shadow Knights, first of all, have a mixture of Necromancer spells and the same abilities as that of warriors. They use their unholy spells to drain health and stats from their enemies to benefit their group. These are ranked the same as Paladins as the second-best tanks in Everquest. Shadowknights are tanks that can fill several roles in groups and are also quite adept at soloing. Shadowknights, with their array of DoT spells and powerful melee attacks, are a viable source of DPS (Damage per Second). These can heal themselves with a line of health drain spells that heals the Shadowknight for the amount of damage done to the enemy.

Everquest Research Guide

Spell research, first of all, is simpler due to the discovery of modern recipes to make spells. If you don’t want to do the research yourself you can generally find someone who will make the spell for you if you have all the material needed to make the spell and you provide or pay for the components bought). Enchanters, necromancers, and wizards can also make magician spells.

Crafting a spell requires preparing some Writing Material from a hide, scroll, papyrus, parchment, etc. The spell is then inscribed upon this prepared writing material using various inks and thickeners. The resulting spell scroll depends upon the exact recipe of ingredients. Not all spells have recipes, although in the future it may be possible that new recipes will become available. These ingredients are combined in a Spell Research Kit.

Everquest Beastlord Guide

The Beastlord gets attack skills and magic, as well as the skill to summon a pet to fight with him. This is one of the better solo classes in the game. Beastlords are the masters of the raw energies of nature. They can focus these energies into themselves and their warder pets. Beastlords are primarily a melee class, with the ability to wear leather armor and also having blunt weapons or use their bare hands to attack.

Beastlords while preparing for battle call their animal warders and thus also increasing the creature’s natural abilities with spells. They share every combat with their warders, fighting beside these fierce companions or falling back to heal and aid them when needed. Beastlords learn spells to slow or damage their opponents which can heal their friends, and also improve their friend’s health and also contributing to mana regeneration. This makes the beastlord the best ally in any group.

Everquest Classic Levelling Guide

Leveling in classic EQ takes a lot longer than most modern MMO’s, but the leveling process feels a lot more like a part of the games compared to WoW where you nowadays usually rush to max level in a matter of days or even hours.

Everquest Bard Guide

Bards, first of all not only are excellent additions for groups but excellent solo fighters as well. A selection of incredible strategies provides an advantage to level up from level 1 up to level 70 to get the maximum experience and also to get the most interesting items in EverQuest based on their rarity. Several strategies can also boost your experience regarding Bards. The best way to get a bard is by not only leveling up an area but by exploring different areas and also applying different strategies to a particular area.

Everquest Ranger Guide

Rangers are the guardians of the woodlands. They are a mixed breed containing 3/4 Warrior and 1/4 Druid making them a powerful mix. However, they can wear most types of armor as well as being able to wield most weapons according to their capability. They gain all of the meelee abilities of a warrior except bash. They also can cast some quite useful druid spells. They have the best direct damage spells of the hybrid classes. Paladins have a specialty that they can contribute to damaging undead, shadow knights and also in damaging overtime where rangers are the master of the outdoors.

These are a great class for beginning players. They get their meelee skills earlier than other hybrids. As paladins and shadowknights will wait for their secondary attack till level 12, rangers gain their secondary attack at level 5. Paladins and shadowknights do not get dodge until level 10 where rangers gain it at level 8.

Everquest Monk Guide

The Monk is dedicated to transforming her body into a pure weapon, shunning most weapons and forms of armor. She’s very religious as well, and the gods are known to bless Monks by magically enhancing their attacks. Monks are a specialist class, focusing on physical combat to the exclusion of all else. Monks provide a powerful ally in a group, though it’s not unusual to see a monk adventuring alone. The monk is a good choice for players who enjoy a strong offensive role in combat and leading groups in their dungeon adventures.

Everquest Rogue Guide

Rogues are one of the DPS classes. They are the highest DPS class, although in some cases berserker will clock in ahead of them. Rogues do need to be able to reach the back of the mob to cause their best damage.

Rogues receive several burst DPS utilities, meaning that they can temporarily achieve an amount of damage much higher than their average. Rogues also have the Razorarc line, allowing a powerful first hit at the cost of endurance. High-level rogues using their abilities can use quite a lot of endurance but have the Second Wind line of discs to help them regenerate endurance.

Everquest Wizard Guide

Wizards have got many special abilities, ranging from quad kiting to farming certain Wizard-only camp spots. The wizards do maximum amounts of damage in a short time. Wizards also get the best area of effect spells.

Wizards are frequently desired in groups for:

  • In situations where OOC is liable to be reached, wizards can often outdamage other classes in groups, even over time.
  • Wizards do not have a single target snare, only an AOE. This can be used in most situations to the same effect
  • Incredible burst DPS capability
  • Wizards can port to 33 different zones and got 6 so-called evacuation spells, that work like ports.
  • Group invisibility

Everquest Shaman Guide

Shaman is more effective than druids at building themselves up and others through ability buffs and utility enchantments. The shaman can also melee better than any other priest class. They also can develop piercing weapons skills. However, recent changes have improved the shaman to use many more piercing weapons than before, but it should not be your primary melee skill. You can usually find a better blunt weapon that corresponds to your level.

Everquest Bard Melody Guide

Bards are a competent solo class with many kitting methods available and are also welcome in any group. They are not as good at any particular thing as any of the specialized classes, they do a little of everything. They can cast, tank and heal as desired and are considered among the best pulling classes in the game. Hence no other class gets the variety of spells and skills that the bard gets. Bards can also cast forever since they don’t use up mana when they sing aside from their later charm songs and a few other abilities.

Bard Melody allows bards to spend less time on keeping a twist up. Using this command will play the list of songs specified over and over again until the bard is interrupted, misses a note or clicks on a spell gem.

Everquest Alchemy Guide

Alchemy, first of all, is that craft that is only available to Shamans. However, it produces potions that can raise or lower stats, cast spells on-demand or simply travel around the planet Norrath. While Shamans can start putting points into Alchemy at level 25, there’s little point in getting started until level 29 because the skill is capped at a lower level.

Therefore, to make potions buy a Medicine Bag as it would be necessary, it would be available from the Herb Vendor at your Guild or in Firiona Vie. You will get most of your ingredients from these vendors as well.  You must also have a Bearskin Potion Bag, which is a tailored item.

Everquest Berserker Guide

Berserkers are those warriors who become emotionally involved in their combat that they undergo their defensive training and live only for battling their opponents. The Epic 1.0 quest is the story of how the berserker (you!) finally harnesses his rage through physical and mental discipline. This doesn’t imply that they gain the defensive abilities of their warrior heritage, though. It just means that berserkers, having gone through the quest for Keras, will have learned when and when not to go “all in”.

Berserker’s most important skills include strength, stamina and common skills agility, strength and dexterity affect the damage a berserker deals out. Stamina affects the number of hit points and endurance a berserker has. Agility helps avoid and mitigate incoming melee damage. Invest your 25 starting points to best compliment your chosen race’s shortcomings and support your berserker’s needs.

Everquest Druid Guide

Druids are one of the finest grouping classes as well as perfect soloers, hence proving an excellent choice for raids. To take advantage, it’s abilities, it is required you to know the little secrets of the character. When building a Druid, choose one of four races. wood elfes, half elfes, humans, or halflings depending on your needs. The race doesn’t matter in the end because stats differ very slightly between the races, so just choose what you like best for your druid.

Druids are a leather class and are limited to that type of armor. They take damage quickly while being hit. Druids can use most blunt weapons and a selection of scimitars for low-level ability to melee.

Everquest Tip Levelling Guide

However, talking about the hotzones they provide us with a little bonus to experience other than the adventure and exploring the particular area. At level 70, head over to the Bazaar to pick up some equipment upgrades, you can find some cheap upgrades that will make leveling a lot faster

Everquest Enchanter Guide

Enchanters, first of all, are one of the few classes that gets stronger as they level up. Most classes get weaker, because you have to pit your numbers against mob numbers, and their numbers go up faster. A L10 Warrior with 400 HP stacks up pretty well against a L10 mob with 300HP, but a L60 warrior with 3500HP is crushed by a L60 mob with 2500 HP. Monk damage and Wizard nukes and Druid healing and really everything else follows a similar pattern. But Enchanter spells are multipliers: a 70% slow on a L60 mob that hits for 451 is far more effective than a 30% slow on a L20 mob that hits for 40.

One of its powerful includes the ability to put mobs to sleep with some of the mesmerization spells. In general crowd control is pretty simple, you simply target a mob that isn’t getting beat on and hit the mez key, and repeat until everything is locked down. The hardest part about playing an enchanter is convincing your groupmates to not break mez, and with the generally high level of play on Project 1999, this usually isn’t a problem.

Everquest Power Levelling Guide

Power Levelling is the act of using extra items, spells and most often another character to boost the rate at which at new character levels. Several different methods exist, some more powerful than others.

The simplest method of power leveling is to get help from a character of a higher level, from outside of the group with one or more twinks. The help will be in the form of healing, buffing, and helping out in emergencies. You can group up to buff, teleport, etc., but to gain experience, the low-level character must either be solo (or with a mercenary) or with characters in the same level range.

Everquest Gear Guide

Several gear items are to be bought from the mobs in Dragonscale Hills. For these earlier levels, most of the gear to be bought is off pieces. It isn’t until around 75 and higher when all of the visible pieces of gear start coming into the BoE (Bind on Equip) market. For this guide, I am going to break down the gear into level brackets starting with 65 and working my way up 5 levels at a time.

Everquest Jewel Crafting Guide

Jewelcrafting allows you to make various rings, earrings, bracelets, and veils. Some of these creations are popular, hence jewel crafting can be a good source of income. However, Jewelry Making can be very expensive to skill up: getting to skill level 162 (needed for the Runed Coldain Prayer Shawl) can cost upwards of three thousand platinum pieces. While unenchanted jewelry combines do produce skill-ups, only enchanted versions have any bonus statistics. NPCs also pay slightly more for an enchanted version of the same item. Jewelry Making is an ideal tradeskill for Enchanters because they are the only class that can enchant metal bars.

Everquest Cleric Guide

A Cleric, first of all, is a holy woman born with the power to heal and also upon the wrath of her deity smites her foes. Prayer is how the Cleric gains her ability. Clerics dedicate their lives to the gods of Norrath, gaining magical powers in exchange for their faith and service. Clerics are primarily a magic-using class, with the ability to wear plate armor and wield blunt weapons. With a few exceptions, clerics are dependent on being part of a group. But they are highly desirable group members. An experienced cleric is a great benefit to any group and is an excellent choice for the social player.

Everquest Warrior Guide

Warriors are something of an endgame class. Let’s compare to their cousin, the Paladin. In most group/small raid scenarios, especially when fighting mobs that can be slowed and mezzed (99% of them) the snap aggro of the Paladin will be more important than their tiny disadvantage in pure numerical hitpoints and AC. Plus, their stuns, roots, buffs, heals and rezzes give them options to help keep their groupmates alive that we warriors simply do not have. In contrast, Warriors shine when facing the toughest of the tough, the monsters so nasty they make the raid encounters page, where our disciplines allow us to survive when any other class would die.

Everquest Magician Guide

Magicians are master summoners, able to call elemental pets to do their bidding and to conjure useful items from thin air. Magicians are primarily a magic-using class, with the ability to wear cloth armor and wield blunt weapons and daggers. Elemental pets are at the heart of a magician’s offensive strategy, and typically accompany a magician in all his adventures. This pet protects its master, along with powerful attacks and special abilities. They have a large selection of fire and magic-based damage spells, allowing them to mount a damaging magical assault in support of their elemental pet. They have a wide range of summoning spells, allowing them to conjure such diverse items as food, weapons, armor, and magical jewelry. In battle, the magician can encase his entire group in a shield of fire, damaging any opponent that strikes them. They also have spells that lower a monster’s resistance to magic, allowing spells to damage them more easily.
